MacEwan University is seeking an Information and Registration Assistant for a full-time continuing chance with our Information & Registration Services department in the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).
The Information and Registration Assistant provides responsive, empathetic, and professional service to current, former, and future students while focusing on accuracy, collaboration, integrity, and resolution. You will serve as first point of contact in relation to all services provided by the OUR including general information, admissions, registration, fees, financial aid, and student records, as well as general information for other University services. You will be responsible for responding to a large volume of inquiries and processing transactions via phone, email, and front counter interactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servingstudents throughout the full student life cycle,
helping them navigate the University systems/processes, and empowering them to use services and resources that are available tothem;
- Respondingto each inquiry using the available resources to provide appropriate, accurate,and satisfactoryresolution;
- Using the MacEwan website and Academic Calendar as the main source for information, guidingapplicants and students on how to access and navigate the resources and services available across theUniversity;
- Using the student information system, verifying and explaining status related to admissions, registration, fees, and convocation, then providing students with guidance on next steps;
- Using the student information system and electronic student file, completingdata entry and processing for fee assessments and payments, transcript requests, registration transactions, and student personal informationchanges;
- Reviewingstudent accounts and enrollment history to troubleshoot issues with student records or registration and then coordinatingwith a Functional Analyst as needed to understand and resolve issues before guidingstudents on nextsteps;
- Attendingto all incoming mail for the Office of the University Registrar, distributing documents toappropriate staffand departments;
- Checkingand domicilingall incoming transcripts and other admissions documentation; and
- Assistingandsupporting withtheon-boardingof new employees, including job shadowing and training.

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or another Student Information Systemwould be consideredan asset.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma with a focusinrecords/data management, administration, or customer service.
- A minimum of1 year customer service or administrative support.
- Experience working in a Registrar's Office and/orknowledge of online registration systems would be consideredanasset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
