Design or contribute to the design of mechanical systems and components
Design and/or modify mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic tooling elements
Support, guide and monitor the fabrication of prototypes
Contribute to project production ramp-up
Modify systems to correct operational deviations
Prepare and/or modify assembly and detail drawings
Create and/or update system bill of materials (BOMs)
Configure BOMs and program options
Advise other departments within your area of expertise
Participate in the preparation of specifications
Estimate the time required to complete tasks
Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering specifications
Produce digital mock-ups / CAD models
Develop methodologies for using the CAD system
Prepare, issue, follow up and verify work assigned to suppliers and subcontractors
Participate in creating and updating the department's work procedures
Complete the engineering technical documents required for the role
Requirements DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology (design option including CAD training in solid and/or surface modeling) + 2 years of mechanical design experience using CAD
DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology (manufacturing option including CAD training in solid and/or surface modeling) + 3 years of mechanical design experience using CAD




AEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology + 4 years of mechanical design experience using CAD
Knowledge of health and safety, quality, technical, communication, and office tools
Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in mechanical design, including proficiency in CAD for creating and modifying mechanical systems and components. Capable of preparing engineering specifications, managing BOMs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
