This position is a 10-month fixed-term contract with potential renewal, requiring a junior to mid-level lawyer. You will utilize strong legal and advocacy skills to provide Tenant Duty Counsel services, representation in housing and social assistance law, and engage in community outreach initiatives. Strong communication abilities and teamwork in a fast-paced office are key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Tenant Duty Counsel services and legal advice
• Represent clients at tribunals and courts




• Engage in public legal education events
• Contribute to law reform initiatives
• Maintain accurate case documentation
Requirements:
• Licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario
• Experience in tenancy representation and Ontario Works appeals
• Solid communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a full caseload effectively
• COVID-19 vaccination required or an exemption
