The Radiation Therapist assumes responsibility for administering radiation treatment in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescription, departmental policy and procedures/standards of care. Calculate basic prescription calculations and check calculations done by others, including preparation of and documentation in the treatment record. Maintain treatment record throughout a course of radiation therapy. Respond to patient condition and patient care needs including comprehensive patient education. Maintain goals, policies and standards of performance according to policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of Radiation Therapy
Ability to communicate clearly and respond to needs of others
Ability to function as a team member
Ability to communicate in the French Language would be an asset
EDUCATION
Graduate from an approved School of Radiation Therapy
Registration with the CMRITO
Current CPR registration required
