Subprime / Near-Prime Finance Manager – Team Leader

High-Volume Used Car Dealership | Full-Time | In Person

We are a high-volume used car dealership looking for an experienced Subprime / Near-Prime Finance Manager and Team Leader to join our growing finance department.

This is a senior-level position for an experienced automotive finance professional who understands the subprime and near-prime market, knows how to structure difficult deals, and can lead and support a finance team.

The Ideal Candidate

- Minimum 5 years of automotive finance experience
- Strong experience in subprime and near-prime automotive financing
- Proven ability to structure and close challenging finance deals
- Strong knowledge of subprime, near-prime and alternative lenders
- Excellent understanding of credit applications, credit reports, income verification and lender requirements
- Established relationships with automotive finance institutions and lenders
- Proven ability to lead, coach and support a finance team
- Strong negotiation, communication and closing skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment




- Robust understanding of OMVIC and Ontario automotive finance requirements
- Valid OMVIC registration required

Responsibilities
- Manage and structure subprime and near-prime finance deals from application through funding
- Work directly with lenders to obtain approvals and negotiate the best available terms
- Review credit applications and determine appropriate lender placement
- Monitor deals, stipulations and funding to ensure timely completion
- Support and coach finance and sales staff on deal structure and lender programs
- Maintain strong lender relationships and stay current with changing programs and guidelines
- Help drive finance department performance while maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction
