Elevate resident experiences in Sundre, Alberta, as a Recreation Therapist with Bethany Care Society.

Your role will focus on creating engaging recreational programs and assessments tailored to individual needs. In this full-time position at Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living Facility, you will work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement customized recreation interventions. Strong leadership is required to mentor assistants and facilitate engaging programs that promote resident participation and independence. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform recreation therapy assessments for residents
- Develop and adapt engaging recreational activities
- Ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with staff to optimize resident care
- Supervise and guide Recreation Therapy Assistants and volunteers Requirements:
- Recreation Therapy Diploma; degree is favorable
- Background in geriatrics, especially dementia care
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Class 4 driver’s license for transporting residents
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities Support and inspire residents to engage fully in life at Bethany Care Society’s Sundre facility.
