Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Start Date: October 6 th , 2026

Full Time – Hourly

Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the engineering and maintenance department, ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of the property. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, preventative maintenance programs, and repair work while supporting and guiding the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations.

The Maintenance

Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining building systems, promoting a safe work environment, and ensuring the property consistently meets Cabot’s luxury standards for both guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service

Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are maintained to Cabot’s luxury standards

Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance-related guest requests,



minimizing disruption to the guest experience

Coordinate room and facility readiness for VIP arrivals and special requests

Operations & Department Oversight

Oversee daily maintenance operations, including work orders, preventative maintenance, and general repairs

Monitor and maintain all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical) to ensure safe and efficient operation

Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of back-of-house areas, mechanical rooms, and workshops

Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office teams to support timely room readiness and operational efficiency

Assist with troubleshooting maintenance issues and coordinating external contractors or vendors as needed

Supervise, coach, and support maintenance team members in daily operations

Conduct training on safety procedures, equipment operation, and maintenance best practices

Promote adherence to workplace safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment

Administrative & Reporting

Support scheduling, staffing coordination, and payroll administration

Maintain accurate work order systems, preventative maintenance records, and equipment logs





Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment

Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and tracking maintenance-related expenses

Prepare and maintain reports related to maintenance activities, safety compliance, and operational requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in maintenance or engineering within a hotel, resort, or similar facility

Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical

Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner

Some leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and on-call support

Guest-focused mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management

Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
