About Us:

Gracie Barra Vancouver is a leading Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy committed to creating a protected, structured, and supportive environment for youth. We're looking for a dedicated and responsible After-School Program Helper to assist with supervision, transportation, and daily operations of our youth program.

Role Overview:

As an After-School Program Helper, you'll support the daily logistics of our youth program, including driving students from local schools to the academy, supervising children during transitions, and assisting with routine program activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive children from designated schools to the academy safely and on time
Help with check-in/check-out procedures for students
Supervise children ages 5–12 during the program
Assist students during transitions between transportation and martial arts classes
Support coaches in preparing activities and managing student groups
Maintain cleanliness of youth-use spaces and ensure readiness of supplies




Communicate basic updates to parents when needed

Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and clean driving record
Comfortable driving a small passenger vehicle with children
Friendly, reliable, and experienced in working with children
ECE certification or equivalent is an asset
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required
Previous experience in childcare, education, or youth recreation is preferred
Interest or background in martial arts is a bonus, but not required

What We Offer:
$20/hour starting wage
Use of company vehicle for school pick-ups
Supportive, team-oriented work setting

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, approx. 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Must be Available to work all days Monday-Fridays
Occasional additional hours for camps or events
