Shape the future for Indigenous families as a Parenting Across the Life Cycle Training Coordinator at ONWA. Focus on creating impactful training for Parenting Support Workers in Ontario. Based out of any ONWA office, this position supports the development and implementation of essential training programs for Parenting Workers.
By collaborating with other staff and stakeholders, you’ll create resources and workshops aimed at enhancing parenting skills and addressing community challenges related to child welfare and violence against women. Your contributions will restore and reclaim the vital role of Indigenous mothers. Key Responsibilities:
Develop curriculum and training materials for workshops
Foster community engagement for program success
Assess and address service delivery gaps
Create a Parenting Program Manual for comprehensive training
Use a Train-the-Trainer model to enhance capacity Requirements:
Degree in Indigenous Learning or similar
At least three years of community service experience
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
Robust communication and presentation skills
Understanding of advocacy and trauma-informed approaches Bring your passion for community service and training to enhance support systems for Indigenous families with ONWA.
