Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Child Care Worker to support an intelligent and curious 6-year-old child with developmental activities and play-based learning. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about early childhood education or developmental support. Responsibilities
Engage the child in learning activities such as: reading, puzzles, tracing, and kindergarten workbook tasks.
Play-based learning with building blocks and toys.
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting.
Supervise and monitor the child during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social development.
Foster a caring, inclusive environment that supports the child's diverse needs.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding the child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.




Occasional outdoor activities and play in the community park when weather permits.
Support children's emotional development by providing encouragement, guidance, and positive reinforcement.

Requirements
Prior classroom experience or background in early childhood education is preferred
Experience working with children of various ages and needs.
Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific activities.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and engage effectively with children and families.
Certification in CPR/First Aid.
Police/ Vulnerable Sector Check.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and supporting their individual needs.

Schedule
Adaptable: Weekday evenings (after 4.30pm) preferred.
Total weekly hours is between 10 to 15 hours.

Employment Type: Independent Contractor. Job Type: Part time

Pay: $18.00-$18.75 per hour
