Islands is the place for you! We are seeking driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a BARTENDER. Under the general direction of the Manager, Food and Beverage, this position is responsible for mixing and serving of beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming work setting for all employees and guests. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
Helps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
Informs guests of any daily specials
Takes guests orders and makes recommendations
Prepares beverages
Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
Resolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if required
Presents bills upon request and taking payments
Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks bar if required




Covers other bartenders sections if required
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Current internal food & beverage employee
People-focused and committed to service excellence
Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
High School Diploma; Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
Bartending and serving experience preferred
Customer service experience
Smart Serve Certificate
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Providing Excellent Experiences and Memories to all guests, both external and internal
