Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Tutor to support high school students in math, physics and chemistry. This role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys by providing engaging, tailored tutoring sessions that foster confidence and mastery in key subjects. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a strong background in education to inspire learners and help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
Deliver engaging tutoring sessions in high school math and science, including algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, and physics
Assess students’ individual needs and develop customized lesson plans to address their specific challenges
Support students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence
Track student progress regularly and communicate updates to parents or guardians as appropriate




Utilize computer skills to prepare instructional materials and manage student records effectively
Collaborate with other instructors to enhance program quality and share best practices

Skills
Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
Strong knowledge of high school-level math and science subjects
Proven tutoring or teaching experience that demonstrates patience and adaptability
Excellent communication skills to explain concepts clearly and motivate students
Proficiency with computers for lesson planning, virtual tutoring tools, and record keeping
Classroom experience or background in special education is a plus
Knowledge of computer science principles can be beneficial for integrating technology into lessons
