Supply Chain Management and Procurement - Purchasing Clerk The Municipal Group of Companies (MGOC), based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is a leading force in heavy civil construction, mining, and environmental services across Atlantic Canada. We are committed to developing future leaders and are excited to offer a unique prospect for recent graduates to launch their careers in Supply Chain and Procurement.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Purchasing team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent university and college graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a agile and supportive environment. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects that impact our operations across the region. This position will be based out of our office in Bedford.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily supply chain operations and vendor coordination

Create and manage purchase orders and tracking vendor performance

Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Purchasing initiatives





Contribute to continuous improvement projects and process enhancements

Take on new challenges and grow into the role

Qualifications

Recent graduate in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Organized, reliable, and eager to learn A team player with a positive, professional attitude

Adaptable and ready to grow in a fast-paced environment
