Job Summary

AC Hemorrhoids & Anorectal Centre is a specialized private outpatient clinic in Calgary focused on the assessment and treatment of hemorrhoids and common anorectal conditions.

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically solid Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in a primarily non-procedural clinical role.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
Obtain relevant medical and anorectal histories
Perform physical examinations within NP scope and competency
Assess patients presenting with hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal bleeding, anorectal pain and other common anorectal concerns
Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans
Provide conservative treatment and prescribe medications when appropriate
Determine when additional investigation, imaging or specialist referral is required
Educate patients regarding their diagnosis and treatment options
Conduct follow-up and post-treatment assessments
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation




Collaborate with NPs, RNs and external healthcare providers

Qualifications
Registered Nurse Practitioner eligible to practice in Alberta
Current registration and valuable standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
Excellent patient communication and documentation skills
Comfortable working in a focused private outpatient setting
Experience in primary care, GI, colorectal, emergency, surgical or related fields is an asset but not required

Compensation $75/hour
