Overview

Join our energetic surveying team as a Survey Party Chief, where you will lead field operations to gather precise geospatial data essential for construction, development, and infrastructure projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee survey crews, ensure data accuracy, and utilize cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality results. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate daily activities, manage data collection efforts, and ensure safety and efficiency throughout all survey operations.

Duties

- Lead and supervise survey crews during field data collection activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols
- Plan daily survey operations, including establishing survey points, setting up equipment, and coordinating with project managers
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced survey instruments such as total stations, GPS units, and robotic systems to capture accurate spatial data
- Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to prepare detailed survey drawings and maps
- Manage GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data using ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping purposes
- Collect, verify, and document survey data meticulously; maintain organized records in databases for easy access and future reference
- Collaborate with engineers,



architects, and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements and timelines

Experience

- Proven experience in construction surveying or land surveying roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities as a Survey Party Chief or similar position
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS (ArcGIS), CAD software, and data management systems
- Hands-on experience operating total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instruments in various field conditions
- Familiarity with construction processes and understanding of construction plans and specifications
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and geospatial data accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing large datasets and maintaining accurate records
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and project stakeholders
