About the Role As the Senior Manager of Regulatory Compliance & Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer, you will play a key role within Nium's Regulatory Compliance team, supporting the management of regulatory obligations and financial crime prevention initiatives to support the compliance program in Canada. You will work closely with the Director of Regulatory Compliance and MLRO and contribute to ensuring full compliance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and related FINTRAC regulations, as well as PSP, RPAA,



and provincial/other national compliance requirements. You will manage client onboarding processes, oversee transaction monitoring activities, and lead the detection and prevention of financial crime including money laundering and terrorist financing. Key Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of Financial Crime and AML methodology to manage regulatory risk and ensure adherence to FINTRAC regulations under the PCMLTFA. Monitor changes to FINTRAC regulations and AML/CTF laws, ensuring the organization promptly adapts its policies and procedures. Serve as a key contact with FINTRAC and other regulatory bodies on AML/CTF matters, supporting the Director's engagement with regulators. Identify control gaps and lead the implementation of control enhancements in AML, OFAC, and Regulatory Compliance. Support the development of country-specific risk assessments and identify control gaps and remediation plans. Support compliance oversight and testing activities and oversee internal reporting on AML/CTF internal controls, fraud, and periodic compliance matters. Act as a subject matter expert for the business and management on compliance-related matters in Canada. Review and approve high-risk business for institutional clients in Canada, including financial institutions and Banking as a Service Clients.
