Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This is a full time position from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekends off. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming workplace in a commercial facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize washrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas.
Empty garbage and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
Clean tables, counters, doors, glass, and other surfaces.
Refill washroom and cleaning supplies as required.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report any supply shortages or maintenance concerns.
Follow all workplace safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Complete periodic and detailed cleaning as required.
Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and company standards.




Perform other light-duty cleaning tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required.
Reliable and punctual.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management skills.
Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform cleaning duties throughout an 8-hour shift.
Able to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
Must be committed to maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
