Responsibilities
Assist customers in selecting eyewear that best suits their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style preferences
Interpret prescriptions with precision
Measure and fit lenses, frames, and contlenses accurately using laboratory equipment and optical tools
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining product features, benefits, and proper lens care
Manage optical inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining product displays
Collaborate with optometrists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain detailed records of patient prescriptions, sales transactions, and laboratory procedures using electronic health record systems
Skills
Solid understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision correction
Proven optical experience in a retail or clinical setting with a focus on customer service excellence
Knowledge of retail strategies combined with the ability to educate customers about product options
Familiarity with retail management principles to support store operations effectively
