Become a Withdrawal Support Worker with Main Street Project, providing essential services to individuals in detox at our Winnipeg locations. This casual role is key to fostering recovery and well-being. As part of Main Street Project, you will help individuals navigate their recovery journeys, offering support through detoxification and advocating for their health needs.
Located at 75 Martha and 146 Magnus Avenue, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, administering medications, and creating a welcoming environment for participants. Work collaboratively in a diverse team committed to community health. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments for current participants
Oversee medication administration and tracking
Engage in regular client interactions to offer support
Assist with resource referrals and advocacy efforts
Respond to emergencies per established protocols Requirements:
Relevant experience in human services, mental health, or addiction
Post secondary background in conflict resolution is ideal
Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
Robust documentation and record-keeping skills
Transparent Criminal Record and First Aid certifications are necessary Support recovery and community healing as part of the team at Main Street Project.
