Join Library and Archives Canada as a Senior Librarian in Ottawa, focusing on reference services and library programming. This role supports digitization and creative programming in a team-oriented, hybrid work setting. This temporary position aims to fill a strategic role within the Visitor and Collection Care Branch for approximately twelve months, potentially extending further.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to improve library access, collaborate on digital projects, and contribute to the development of the collection.
Your role will help elevate community engagement and positively impact public programming. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective reference and research services
Evaluate and develop library collections
Collaborate on digital preservation projects
Prepare reports on developments and initiatives
Engage users through outreach and promotional activities Requirements:
Master's degree in library or information science
Experience working with senior management
Solid knowledge in cultural heritage trends
Excellent written and oral communication skills
