Join the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership as a Species Recovery Officer and help revitalize England’s rare chalk specialists. This full time, in office position tackles environmental challenges across East Kent. Working under Dover District Council, you will spearhead the Champions of the Chalk initiative focusing on species like Lady Orchid and Long-horned Bee.

Collaborate with Natural England, manage habitats, conduct ecological surveys, and develop essential Species Recovery Plans. This role emphasizes vital teamwork with landowners and stakeholders ensuring lasting impacts on biodiversity. Key Responsibilities:
Implement habitat management for chalk specialist species
Undertake ecological surveys to monitor populations




Build long-term recovery plans in collaboration with stakeholders
Manage project reporting and related activities
Engage and supervise volunteers in conservation efforts Requirements:
Background in environmental science or ecology
Proven skills in project management and reporting
Experience engaging with landowners and volunteer recruitment
Robust ecological survey skills and biodiversity knowledge
