Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate project estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and other relevant data. Your contributions will help drive successful project bids, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with client expectations.

Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to gather necessary information for estimating
Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to compile and analyze data efficiently
Support negotiation efforts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms
Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project scope and timelines
Maintain organized records of all estimate documentation for future reference and audits




Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes by providing feedback and insights

Qualifications
Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and practices
Experience with Bluebeam or similar PDF editing tools is preferred
Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
Familiarity with project management concepts within the construction industry
Knowledge of HeavyBid or comparable estimating software is a plus
Construction experience or background through education or internships is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace
