The Alliance Lawyers is a full-service law firm in Owen Sound, Ontario. We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our legal team.

Experience
Experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
Robust proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Knowledge of legal billing practices, trust accounts, and law firm-specific financial procedures (preferred)
Familiarity with payroll processing (preferred)
Excellent attention to detail with solid analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, independently and as a part of a team

Responsibilities
Maintain and update the firm’s financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero




Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Assist with budgeting processes
Support year-end closing procedures and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation

The salary for this position will vary based on education and experience.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
