Café Team Member — Part-Time

Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service
Take customer orders using the POS system and recommend menu items
Receive and process payments accurately
Prepare and serve food and beverages from our menu
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the café and kitchen
Assist baristas as needed
Restock coffee, tea, paper products, and other supplies
Check freezer, refrigerator, and heating-equipment temperatures to ensure proper operation
Receive deliveries and lift or carry merchandise when required
Take out garbage and complete other general cleaning duties




Work collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
Must be able to reliably commute to the café on Saturdays and Sundays for shifts beginning as early as 7:00 a.m.
Must also be available for closing shifts ending as late as 9:30 p.m.
English-language proficiency
FoodSafe Level 1 certification
Serving It Right certification is preferred but not required
Strong multitasking, organization, and customer-service skills
Flexible availability
Previous kitchen or customer-service experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization
Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude
Passion for coffee and hospitality
Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
