Transform health care education by leading the Generalist Health Care curriculum at York University. Oversee developmental strategies and quality improvements for Year 1 of the MD program. As the Lead for Generalist Health Care at York University School of Medicine (YUSOM), you will be responsible for the comprehensive development and implementation of the GHC 1 curriculum.
Your role will involve engaging with diverse stakeholders to enhance pedagogical practices, integrate cutting-edge learning methodologies, and maintain educational standards that support student growth in clinical and community settings. Key Responsibilities:
Direct planning and quality assurance of GHC 1 curriculum
Set transparent learning objectives and assessment frameworks
Facilitate case-based learning and active engagement
Collaborate on integration of equity-driven content
Support faculty development and remediation processes Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) required; advanced degree preferred
Expertise in curriculum development and case-based methodologies
Experience in primary/generalist health care environments
Familiarity with medical education standards and practices
Strong skills in leadership, organization, and collaboration Elevate the MD program by fostering creative educational practices and preparing students for impactful careers in health care.
