Wetaskiwin School Division is seeking a full-time Foods Teacher to provide engaging programming at Wetaskiwin Composite High School.
Position Details:
- Position: Temporary Full-Time Foods Teacher
- Assignment: Teaching Foods to grades 9-12 at Wetaskiwin Composite High School
Responsibilities:
- Deliver an engaging Foods program
- Incorporate student voice and choice in course planning to enhance engagement
- Advocate for hands-on learning opportunities for students
Qualifications:
- Training and experience in teaching Jr and High School Foods programs
- B.Ed. degree
- Formal training in the food industry; Red Seal Chef designation would be considered an assest.
- Ability to adapt instruction for students with varying abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing emerging technologies, including Google Apps and cloud-based apps, for educational purposes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers,
and parents/guardians
- Cooperative team player with a commitment to the Health and Safety Program prescribed by the Board

Pay: $68,850.00-$115,566.00 per year
