The KIDO Minoyaawibimoojikewinan Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating connections across the KI community.
You will develop and implement culturally significant events and assist in the emotional support programming for families and youth facing challenges. Knowledge of traditional practices and collaboration with other community initiatives is essential. Key Responsibilities:
Create plans for KI cultural ceremonies and events
Collaborate on youth and crisis support initiatives
Lead discussions during community forums and meetings
Attend and support healing processes as needed
Oversee staff in the “Prevention Unit” of KIDO Requirements:
Proven knowledge of KI culture and language
Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience
Robust interpersonal and cooperative skills
Understanding KIDO’s mission and principles
