Take on the role of Attending Physician at Deer Lodge Centre's Transitional Care Unit, where you will provide essential medical support to patients in transition. Ensure high standards of care in a collaborative setting.

The TCU is focused on adult patients who are moving from acute care to their next steps in the community. As the Attending Physician, you will be responsible for the medical oversight of 22 patients, providing comprehensive medical assessments and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team. This role requires your active participation in regular patient evaluations and medical management.

Key Responsibilities:



• Attend to patients twice a week and perform evaluations • Complete mandatory admission documents within due deadlines • Respond to urgent care needs around the clock • Engage in weekly team rounds when possible • Conduct monthly reviews of medications for patient safety

Requirements: • Must hold a valid medical license in Manitoba • Positive standing with the College of Physicians essential • Required WRHA medical staff appointment • Must carry qualified liability insurance • Ability to work effectively in a transitional care workplace
