Become a key player in Indigenous engagement as an Indigenous Consultation Advisor at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. In this permanent, full time position, you will direct Indigenous consultations in alignment with environmental assessments and local community needs.
Your responsibility includes developing strategic consultation plans and advising project teams, ensuring Indigenous rights and perspectives are respected and integrated into port operations. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and plan Indigenous consultations for major developments
Develop strategies compliant with environmental Assessment Acts
Liaise with Indigenous groups on agreements and initiatives
Monitor legislative changes affecting consultation processes
Maintain accurate records of all consultation activities Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field like Indigenous studies
Minimum 4 years of experience in consultation strategy development
Exceptional analytical, research, and communication skills
Established connections with Indigenous communities in Lower Mainland
