Shape Indigenous priorities at Brock University as the Vice-Provost for Indigenous Engagement, located in Niagara Region, Ontario. Build partnerships and boost Indigenous student success through transformative leadership. The Vice-Provost for Indigenous Engagement serves as Brock’s leading Indigenous academic voice, driving the implementation of strategic initiatives that foster community connections.
This position is pivotal in advising senior leaders while promoting a culture of inclusion and respect for Indigenous perspectives and priorities. You will play a critical role in students' holistic success and Indigenization of the curriculum at Brock. Key Responsibilities:
Drive implementation of the Indigenous Strategic Plan
Engage with Indigenous communities and leadership organizations
Champion initiatives enhancing Indigenous student programs
Collaborate on Indigenous curriculum and research efforts
Provide guidance on community-informed institutional policies
Requirements:
Indigenous identity linked to local communities
Terminal degree or equivalent educational background
Experience in senior leadership within complex organizations
Established relationships with Indigenous communities and leaders
Knowledge of contemporary Indigenous issues and policies
