The Indigenous
Child and Family Well-Being Worker (ICFWBW) plays a critical role in supporting Indigenous children, youth, and families in Renfrew County. This position integrates Indigenous knowledge and trauma-informed practices to ensure compliance with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act. You'll be collaborating closely with community members, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers to foster well-being and cultural identity. Key Responsibilities:
Assess safety and risk for Indigenous children and families
Conduct investigations and develop culturally relevant service plans
Ensure compliance with legislative obligations and standards
Coordinate services with internal teams and community partners
Maintain thorough documentation and case records Requirements:
Bachelor or Master of Social Work preferred
Experience with Indigenous communities and practices
Robust understanding of CYFSA and child welfare issues
Commitment to anti-oppression and inclusivity
French language skills are an asset Support the well-being of Indigenous families and ensure culturally relevant care within our community.
