DISTRIBUTION CENTER TEAM LEAD The Distribution Center Team Lead oversees daily warehouse operations, guides staff, and ensures orders go out fast and right. Manage inventory flow, enforce safety rules, and fix problems on the floor. This hands-on job mixes leadership with hands on tasks.

Core Responsibilities Daily Operations: Direct shipping, receiving, and order picking.

Team Leadership: Assign daily tasks, train new workers, and coach staff.

Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace health and safety rules.

Inventory Control: Track stock levels and run audits or cycle counts.

Problem Solving: Fix shipping delays or missing items quickly. Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations

Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs

Wear all PPE required and work in a secure manner

Participate in all company mandated training in good faith

Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments (all seasons, indoors & outdoors)

Have excellent knowledge of operations and processes as necessary to the position

Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly

Perform computer functions as necessary to complete assigned paperwork

Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas

Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards

Report all Health & Safety issues immediately

Perform other duties as assigned Key Skills and Requirements Experience: 2 to 3 years working in a warehouse or distribution setting.

Basic computer and Microsoft Office Skills

Communication: Explicit speaking skills to direct workers and talk with managers.

High School Diploma/GED

Forklift Experience is an asset but is not required

Stand/walk for significant periods of time

Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted

Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination

Comfortable completing repetitive tasks

Attention to detail

Excellent trouble-shooting skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math skills

Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Read and comprehend instructions, email correspondence, memos & schedules Communicate both verbally and electronically (email)
