We are recruiting an experiencedDesign & Release Engineer (Fascia/Bumper/Grill)to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.NOTEHybridValid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving recordMust be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start dateRESPONSIBILITIESDeveloping components/systems from initial design concept through full volume productionProvide feasibility input for development of designs from Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketch, and clay modelsEstablish and manage development timeline for life of projectDevelop functional objectives, build objectives, DVPR, and DFMEA for componentsLead design, while leveraging external design source and/or internal CAD design resourceRelease of completed component geometry using Teamcenter/NX CAD toolsValidate virtual designs using CAE resources and perform physical validation via component, system, and vehicle level testing. Manage internal documentation for release of systemsPlan and oversee tool construction and production of assemblies RESPONSIBILITIESOnsite support for vehicle pilot builds and production launch at assemblyRoot cause analysis and determination of corrective action for issues with assembly, fit/finish, and functional performanceAnalyze and remediate warranty, identify cost reduction opportunities on production of systems,



candidate will also be responsible for safety compliance report documentsREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university3 years of experience in design & release engineering in plastics. Experience with fascia/bumper/grills strongly preferredVery good knowledge about Unigraphics NX and CATIAStrong PC + MS Office skills required.
