Position Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in mechanical engineering that is in interested in expanding their mechanical knowledge to include the business and operations side of a company. The successful candidate will work to develop and grow our Canadian market segment with all levels of governments, agencies, etc.
French Speaking Candidates Preferred.
This is an in-person role and no work from home option is available.
Objectives:
- Provide sales and customer service support to customers, suppliers, sales and internal team members to understand each of their requirements
Essential functions & responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests, including identifying customer needs
- Provide sales support to customers including end users, engineers, contractors and distributors
- Working within our CRM/ERP System to set-up customer leads, generate sales proposals, promote customers and orders.
- Assist in the development/implementation of product design to meet customer solutions
- Update project boards, maintain checklist, and track progress across multiple active jobs.
- Review and put together project bid/tender documentation
- Searching ConstructConnect daily for new pump tender opportunities
- Developing relationships with Canadian consulting engineering firms and scheduling Lunch & Learns
- Communicate with Engineering Group to obtain details of materials requirements
- Liaise with internal/external customers and vendors to troubleshoot issues; provide technical support
- Perform costing calculations considering all variables and provide to the sales team
- Preparation of final project manuals and associated documents for the completion of the project and ensure proper documentation of work, products and relevant activities
- Employ problem-solving strategies and find solutions to problem areas of the projectRequired knowledge, skills, certificates & training
- University Degree or College Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Excellent grasp of fundamental mechanical engineering concepts and relationships
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent computer skills with advanced competencies in MS Office & Adobe
- Effective communicator with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning
- Sense of urgency & drive to succeed. Comfortable working with a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and working with minimal supervision
- Resourceful, energetic, able to manage multiple diverse project requests
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
