About us
Tomorrow Studios is a Shopify agency in British Columbia. We move merchants off legacy platforms, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and older custom systems, onto Shopify and Shopify Plus. Our clients are real businesses with real complexity: wholesale pricing, retail locations, accounting integrations, and catalogues built over a decade. We keep the client list short on purpose.
We are small and we work like it. You will talk to the merchant directly, make the call yourself, and see it through to launch.
The role
You own delivery on a WooCommerce to Shopify Plus replatform for a Canadian apparel brand. B2C, wholesale B2B, and point of sale. A five figure SKU count, six figures of order history, and a NetSuite integration run by the client's incumbent integration partner.
Architecture, feasibility, and pricing stay with our founder and solutions architect. The client relationship stays with our delivery lead. Execution is yours: the plan, the sequencing, the cutover, and the thirty days after it.
We are hiring your experience twice
Our delivery lead rides along on this project while running our smaller ones. Part of the job is mentorship: think out loud, let them shadow the hard calls, and hand off a written delivery playbook at the end. Once for the project, once for the team.
What you will do
- Own the delivery plan: phases, sequencing, dependencies, and the cutover.
- Coordinate across our developers, QA, the client's team, and their integration partner.
- Run the client delivery cadence: status, risks, decisions needed, and the honest conversation when something slips.
- Hold scope: catch the first out-of-scope request and turn it into a change order.
- Run the launch window and stabilization.
- Build the playbooks we run on: the migration checklist, the cutover runbook, and the status formats we reuse on the next one.
What we need on day one These are the things we cannot teach quickly,
so we will screen hard for them.
- You have personally run Shopify or Shopify Plus replatform cutovers end to end, from kickoff through data migration, launch, and stabilization.
- You have delivered projects with B2B or ERP integration in the mix. NetSuite experience is a real plus.
- You can hold a launch date honestly: you know when to push back on scope and when to move the date, and you say so early.
- You write clearly. Status, risk, and scope live in writing here.
What we will teach you Our stack and our conventions: how we run Linear, how we write change orders, and how this client's business actually works. We are hiring your judgment, not your familiarity with our tools.
How you operate
You default to writing things down. You raise the risk while it is still cheap. You would rather have the awkward conversation in week two than the expensive one in week ten.
Compensation
CA$85 to CA$115 per hour, depending on depth. That is roughly US$60 to US$83 at current rates. We contract and pay in Canadian dollars.
The top of the band is for someone who has personally owned complex migration cutovers, not just coordinated them.
Location
Remote. We are based in Vancouver, and we are open to anywhere in the Americas: Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Latin America all work.
The one hard requirement is hours. This role is client-facing and coordinates a small team inside a single working day, so your day has to overlap Pacific business hours. Most of Latin America clears that comfortably.
AI and your application
Use AI in your work; we do. But we want your own account of your own projects. We ask about specifics on the call, and generic answers do not survive that conversation.
Our process
- A thirty minute call.
- A paid scoping exercise on a realistic migration brief.
- A working session going through it together.
- References from the projects you named, then a start inside two weeks.
