Join D-Wave Quantum Inc. as an In-house Patent Agent in a hybrid role based in Burnaby, BC. Collaborate on quantum technology innovations, patent drafting, and prosecution. As part of our Intellectual Property team, you will work closely with inventors to identify valuable innovations and protect our IP portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include drafting patent applications and coordinating with external patent counsel, contributing to the growth of D-Wave’s patent practices. Candidates can join as Intermediate, Senior, or Staff Patent Specialists, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate valuable innovations with inventors
Draft and prosecute diverse patent applications




Collaborate across technical teams for effective communication
Coordinate with external patent counsel on filings
Support growth and management of patent portfolio Requirements:
Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computing, or Engineering
Experience in patent drafting before a Patent Office
Registration as a Canadian Patent Agent is an asset
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
