Actalent is a global leader in Engineering Services and human capital solutions. We are seeking a Technical Writer/Process Documentation Analyst to join our technical engineering team, reporting to an Actalent technical manager and project lead. This role will present the opportunity to support a variety of interesting projects and customers, the first of which is a project from a client that designs and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Procedure Writer / Documentation Analyst to support engineering and operational excellence initiatives through the development, maintenance, and standardization of process and procedure documentation. This role will partner with process owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business stakeholders to document current and future-state workflows, create controlled documentation, and ensure alignment with organizational standards and governance requirements.

Once the project is completed, this employee will have access to other projects as an Actalent employee and member of our technical engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with engineering teams, process owners, and SMEs to gather requirements and document business and engineering processes.
- Develop and maintain:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work Instructions
- Process Maps
- Workflow Documentation
- Standards and Templates
- Controlled Process Documentation
- Translate complex technical and operational processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.




- Facilitate documentation reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Standardize documents according to established naming conventions, templates, formatting standards, approval workflows, and document control requirements.
- Support document governance activities, including revision tracking, version control, and periodic document reviews.
- Analyze current-state processes and assist in documenting future-state improvements and operational best practices.
- Maintain a high level of quality, consistency, readability, and compliance across all documentation deliverables.
- Work independently in a remote workplace while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Project Deliverables The successful candidate will produce documentation including, but not limited to:

- Process Documentation
- Procedure Documentation
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work Instructions
- Workflow Documentation
- Documentation Review and Revision Records

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Writing/Documentation or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, procedure writing, documentation analysis, process documentation,



or operational excellence environments.
- Demonstrated experience creating SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and controlled documentation.
- Interviewing and information-gathering skills with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication and document organization skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Experience working within document control and revision management processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, industrial, data center, or operational excellence environments.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Process Excellence methodologies.
- Experience with PLM systems, document management systems, or enterprise content management platforms.
- Familiarity with workflow mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar applications.
- Understanding of quality management, ISO standards, or controlled document environments.
