Position Description & Key Duties

Employees working in the Tim Hortons unit are responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the location. Employees must be available to work a variety of shifts based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, qualified and productive customer service to students, staff, faculty and visitors.
Take customer orders accurately and process cash, debit and credit transactions.
Prepare and serve Tim Hortons beverages, including coffee, tea, specialty beverages and cold drinks, following established recipes and procedures.
Prepare and assemble food items, sandwiches, baked goods and other menu items according to Tim Hortons and Chartwells standards.
Operate POS equipment and ensure all transactions are processed accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked service area throughout the shift.
Restock food, beverages, cups, lids, condiments, packaging and other supplies as required.
Monitor product levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to the supervisor.
Follow all food safety, sanitation,



personal hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Complete cleaning duties, including counters, equipment, floors, work areas, dining areas and other assigned areas.
Follow proper procedures for food preparation, storage, temperature control, rotation and waste.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including preparation of the unit, stocking, cleaning and securing the area.
Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and a high level of customer service.
Respond to customer questions and concerns in a qualified and respectful manner and seek assistance from a supervisor when required.
Work cooperatively with team members and assist in other areas of the operation as business needs require.
Follow all company, campus and unit policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Availability Requirement:

Employees must be able to have the flexibility to work varying shifts, including opening, daytime and closing shifts, based on operational requirements.
