English Language Arts (ELA)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our academic team in Calgary, Alberta

QualificationsRequired
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate issued by Alberta Education.
Minimum 1 years of ELA teaching experience in a Calgary public school or private school.
Solid knowledge of the Alberta K–12 English Language Arts Curriculum and assessment standards.
Experience teaching reading, writing, literature, grammar, and communication skills.
Excellent student engagement skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes.
Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents.
Develop lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.
Support students in improving reading comprehension,



academic writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with parents and educational staff to support student success.

Position Details
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Position Type: Part time / Contract
Work Schedule: Versatile weekday evenings and/or weekends
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience
