The Environmental

Specialist will report to the Environmental Coordinator and drive adherence to environmental laws and best practices. This hybrid role involves providing training, conducting inspections, and managing environmental emergencies. Your expertise will guide Transportation Department personnel and influence ongoing remediation projects, ensuring sustainable practices across the region. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with environmental laws at airports and marinas
Provide training on handling and disposal of hazardous waste




Conduct annual environmental inspections and audits
Manage database of spill events and remediation projects
Plan and implement environmental emergency exercises Requirements:
A university degree in environmental studies or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of Aboriginal issues and the North
