About Us

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer and Architect to support a complex Salesforce implementation for a public-sector organization in Peel, Ontario. This is a Hybrid role requiring 2 days/week on-site.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer and Architect with a minimum of 6 years of practical Salesforce solution delivery experience across medium to large-scale, complex Salesforce projects. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce.com architecture, development, configuration, integration, data management, deployment, and administration, with hands-on experience with the Vlocity Public Sector Foundation (PSF) framework.

The successful candidate will work within an Agile Scrum team delivering solutions in two-week sprints and will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying scalable Salesforce solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, governance, security, coding standards, and best practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions aligned with industry best practices and coding standards.
- Perform hands-on Salesforce development and implementation using declarative tools, Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, and Public Sector Foundation (PSF).
- Leverage the Vlocity Public Sector Foundation framework to address business requirements, including document generation.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure alignment with overall platform architecture standards and principles.
- Implement appropriate security configurations, access controls,



and data-sharing rules to support data security and compliance.
- Design and execute data migration, data modelling, and data cleansing activities.
- Lead technical design sessions and code reviews to ensure solution quality, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Design, develop, execute, and debug manual and automated test plans and test cases.
- Perform code migration through established release management, sandbox, deployment, and change management processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering designs, configurations, customizations, and development processes.
- Provide knowledge transfer, technical demonstrations, and training to technical teams and business users.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving complex Salesforce issues.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends and recommend improvements where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile Scrum setting and contribute to iterative delivery through two-week sprints.

Required Qualifications

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I – mandatory. Proof of certification must be provided.
- Minimum 6 years of practical Salesforce solution delivery experience, including medium to large-scale complex Salesforce projects.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, features, security, configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, security considerations, and architecture governance.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative tools, including Flows, Workflow Rules, and Validation Rules.
- Experience developing modern user interfaces using the Salesforce Lightning Framework/Lightning Experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex and Visualforce development.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Vlocity/Public Sector Foundation (PSF),



including the PSF data model.
- Experience with Salesforce data modelling, data migration, and data cleansing.
- Experience writing unit tests, debugging Salesforce solutions, and conducting code reviews.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
- Salesforce Designer or Architect certifications, including:
- Salesforce Certified Data Architect
- Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Architect
- Salesforce Certified Integration Architect
- Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect
- Salesforce Certified System Architect
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- Experience working with public-sector Salesforce implementations.
- Experience working within complex integrated Salesforce environments where multiple Salesforce applications are active.
- Experience with Salesforce release management, sandbox management, deployment strategies, and change management.
- Experience providing technical leadership, knowledge transfer, demonstrations, and user training.

Compensation

Salary Range: $70.00 - $85.00 / hour
