Become a Temporary ELL Teacher with School District No. 60 at Duncan Cran Elementary School from September 2026 to June 2027. This part-time role focuses on fostering language acquisition in K-6 students, including those with Indigenous backgrounds. The 0.7 FTE ELL Teacher will play an essential role in teaching students utilizing universal design principles.
Strong belief in the philosophy of inclusion and a positive classroom is critical. Building collaborative relationships with educational partners will enhance student learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted English language instruction to elementary students
- Create engaging learning experiences for all students
- Collaborate with staff for enhanced lessons
- Manage classroom activities to respect student dignity
- Conduct assessments to track student progress Requirements:
- BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate required
- Experience with Social Emotional Learning beneficial
