As a Legal Counsel, you will work under the General Counsel, providing legal support across various domains including governance, compliance, and corporate matters. Your experience in private practice or an in-house legal department will be essential as you interact with executive leadership and external counsels in a multicultural setting.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
Provide legal support to operational development teams
Assist in corporate governance documentation and compliance
Manage litigation and employment-related legal matters
Support public governance and ESG initiatives
Requirements
Licensed lawyer in Ontario or eligibility to become licensed
Experience in mining, construction, or related sectors
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Solid corporate-commercial drafting and negotiation skills
