Supply Teacher – On-Call

Appleseed Child Care Centre is looking for reliable, energetic people to join our team as Supply Teachers!

This is an on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours. Supply Teachers are contacted when regular staff are away and can choose to accept shifts based on their availability.

Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
Provide a secure, caring, and positive setting
Follow the classroom’s daily routines and activities
Assist with snack, bathroom, nap, and transition times
Work with different age groups and adapt to different classrooms
Work cooperatively with the regular teaching team

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children
Is reliable, responsible, and energetic
Is comfortable working with different age groups
Can adapt quickly to different classrooms and routines




Lives locally and is available to pick up occasional shifts

Experience in a daycare, school, camp, recreation, or similar settings is an asset.

Please Note:
Candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check and Standard First Aid/CPR-C before shifts can be offered.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle as we have three program sites and supply staff may be required to travel between program sites during supply shifts.
