Empower community development in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124, Alberta. The Manager of Planning & Development oversees essential services to strengthen local governance and community ties.

The Municipal

District is on the lookout for a Manager of Planning & Development and Community Services to spearhead initiatives that align with Council's objectives. This role includes managing a team, directing community grants, and enhancing services like municipal libraries and custodial care. Solid compliance with regulations and effective teamwork are critical aspects of this position. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of strategic community services
Oversee planning, development, and support staff operations




Foster relationships with board members and community stakeholders
Ensure adherence to provincial legislation and municipal bylaws
Prepare reports and manage project documentation efficiently Requirements:
Relevant post-secondary education in Planning & Development
At least two years in a municipal leadership role
Proven experience in public sector collaboration
Exceptional relationship management skills
Membership in APPI or equivalent, Registered Qualified Planner designation Shape policies and community projects in Alberta as the Manager of Planning & Development.
