The Estimator/ Repair Planner is responsible for assessing the vehicle with the technician, writing a repair estimate on the vehicle, and sending and handling the communication with the insurance company and customer regarding status of the vehicle during the repair process. This position is often the main point of contact with the collision shop for the customer; the estimator must strive to represent the company in a professional manner. The estimator/ repair planner follows the file from the time of appraisal until final presentation.

Job Duties include: · Handle all appraisals, work authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties when dealing with the customer.

· Ensure ongoing communication with adjuster, production staff and customer regarding repair status.





· Inspect repair and meet with customer when picking up vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Work to resolve any customer concerns or dissatisfaction.

· Determine the priority of tasks within the scope of the position.

· Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies, procedures and standards.

· Maintain a clean and orderly work area in order to comply with all health & safety procedures.

· Communicate and document repair status to customers and insurance companies.

Other Qualities candidates should possess are:
A complete understanding of the day-to-day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines
Familiarity with Mitchell Estimating, Mitchell Repair Center and Audatex

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$38.00 per hour
