Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and high-quality food production
Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes (African, Mexican, continental dishes) and maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control
Oversee food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste and control costs
Ensure all food service operations adhere to health codes, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
Train team members on cooking techniques, food safety, and customer service standards




Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences

Requirements
Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
Extensive food service experience with a solid understanding of kitchen operations
Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively
Knowledge of restaurant management principles including inventory control and customer service excellence
Familiarity with food safety regulations, handling procedures, and sanitation standards
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth workflow
Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
