Join M’Chigeeng First Nation as a Child Well-Being Engagement Worker, focusing on cultural community engagement for child welfare initiatives. This full time role is pivotal for strategic planning and community support. In this position, you will spearhead activities to enhance the community-care model and Child Well-Being Law development.
Your role will involve engaging directly with families, youth, and service providers while respecting Anishinaabe principles. You will document experiences and feedback, influencing governance and policy strategies effectively during the critical Year 1 phase. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Year 1 Community Engagement Plan implementation
Organize and facilitate community dialogues and sessions
Analyze community needs and feedback for informed decisions
Collaborate with stakeholders on governance frameworks
Prepare reports for Chief and Council updates Requirements:
Relevant educational background with community engagement experience
Familiarity with M’Chigeeng First Nation’s programs and services
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
Keen understanding of cultural safety and values
Clean CPIC and valid driver’s license Drive meaningful change in the community with a focus on child well-being and cultural integrity.
