Centre Manager / ECE Manager

LEXA Play & Learn Childcare is seeking an experienced, caring, and highly organized Centre Manager / ECE Manager to lead our childcare centre. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, support a strong team of educators, and help create a secure, engaging, and welcoming workplace for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the daily operations of the centre.
Ensure the centre consistently meets BC childcare licensing requirements and maintains high standards of care.
Supervise, mentor, schedule, and support educators and staff.
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
Support curriculum planning and ensure programming is engaging, inclusive, and aligned with children’s developmental needs.
Build strong relationships with families and communicate professionally regarding children’s care, progress, and concerns.
Manage enrolment, centre administration, staffing needs, and day-to-day operational matters.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized,



and welcoming learning environment.
Address concerns professionally and work proactively to resolve issues involving staff, families, or operations.

Qualifications
Valid BC ECE certification.
Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role within a licensed childcare setting.
Robust knowledge of BC childcare licensing requirements and centre operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children, families, and educators.
