Tour Guide – Halifax & Nova Scotia

Alpha Travel & Tours is looking for a dynamic, friendly, and qualified Tour Guide to lead guests on exciting explorations of Halifax and the stunning coastline of Nova Scotia.

As a Tour Guide, you're not just a driver — you're the face of the experience, the storyteller, and an important part of creating memorable experiences that bring guests back.

Responsibilities

- Lead engaging tours for individuals, small groups, and larger parties
- Provide entertaining and informative commentary on local history, culture, and attractions
- Safely operate passenger vehicles while complying with all traffic and transportation regulations
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests throughout the tour
- Answer guest questions confidently and professionally
- Manage tour logistics, including timing, routes, schedules, and guest headcounts
- Adapt the tour experience to different audiences, group sizes, and situations
- Create a welcoming and memorable experience for guests from around the world
- Work closely with the Alpha Travel & Tours team to deliver seamless, top-rated experiences

Qualifications
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 4 driver's licence is required
- Clean driver’s abstract is required
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, guiding, or customer service is preferred




- Excellent verbal communication and public-speaking skills
- Strong knowledge of Halifax and Nova Scotia history, attractions, and culture
- Friendly, confident, outgoing, and professional personality
- Comfortable speaking to and interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while being a reliable team member
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates are an asset
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and seasonal periods
